Nut Picking

My Grandpa has a pecan grove behind his house and every Christmas break he has someone shake the trees and his grandchildren get to help pick up the nuts. He shells most of the nuts by himself and then gives some to as many of us as he can. I remember complaining about having to pick up nuts when I was younger, but this year when my mom called and said come help, I was more than happy to. I decided to grab the camera on my way out the door. Here are a few pictures of the lovely morning.

I hope we have more to do next year. His trees haven't gotten a whole lot of water the past few years, so there hasn't been as many nuts. I think the children enjoyed their day of work and service.
